We are proud users of the Xiaomi devices, however as Xiaomi confirmed that they don't plan to add treble now by 胡叔叔_Hui in MIUI forum.

According to the latest news, it would be a very important support feature for the community and for the people who choose Xiaomi devices in the future.

Please keep in mind that this is suggestive, we do not demand anything. Just a detailed explanation could do so much.

OnePlus users got the response that OnePlus need to update partitions in order to support Project Treble, while data may be lost and device may be bricked throughout the update. However, most of the Xiaomi devices (Mi 6, Mix 2 and Note 3 and more) already have a /cust partition of the proper size for Project Treble and will not experience the same dilemma that OnePlus may face.

So please share this petition and let's convince Xiaomi to change their mind!
