Due to unavailbility of kernel sources developers are struggling to provide bug free custom aftermarket ROM's and this is also hindering the future development of the device no developer community will be willing provide support for our device without any source code. We request Xiaomi to please release Kernel sources so developers could build Custom roms and provide choice to the users Xiaomi is currently voilating GPL because the Android Kernel is just a linux Kernel which is licensed under GPL . Xiaomi is locking down users to MIUI and are not giving users option to choose let users decide which Rom they want to run on their phones locking down users to MIUI by not releasing the sources is bad business practice Every request about the release of kernel sources is being ignored by xiaomi ,listen to your users voices and release kernel sources .
