The summer solstice is here and the Yulin Festival is starting again. Over 10,000 dogs will be tortured, slaughtered then eaten.

China claims that this is an ancient tradition, yet the first traces of this horrendous festival were from 2010.

THEY TORTURE THESE POOR ANIMALS FOR NO REASON. 

Many of these dogs were apart of a family. They were snatched off the streets or their own backyard when dog theives steal them and sell them for some money. Their collar is still on when they arrive to china crammed into crates. They are given no food or water. 

China has tried lying, by saying that they farm these animals. When in fact they are stolen!

Yulin is only a small part of dog eating/dog meat trading. It makes up .01%. so as the year continues, many more dogs will be slaughtered and eaten. we must fight all the time to end this. 

As someone who volunteers at my local animal shelter, this breaks my heart. I am an avid animal lover that plans to go to veterinary school once i graduate next year and take all the necessary college classes. This is very personal to me. I have also only owned rescue dogs which makes me that much more determined to end this ugly festival.

Chinese officials need to be held accountable. which is why i ask you to sign this petition.
