Petition updatexJustice Delayed For Targets of Hank Friedman; civil trial postponed for 6th time to July 24, 2023!

Attorneys for Hank Friedman have been granted a sixth postponement in a civil trial that was originally scheduled to start in early May 2022.

While the cause of the civil trial postponements is unclear, and it appears likely that Friedman's previous No Lo Contendre plea in the criminal case may not be used to establish guilt in the civil litigation, there is little doubt, based upon previous reporting, that a strong case can be made against Friedman.

  1. In 1981, Beverly Hills Deputy District Attorney Philip Wynn charged Friedman with five counts of child annoying behavior against students on the BHHS campus.
  2. A police investigation identified at least eight students who Friedman targeted for improper sexual advances.
  3. Friedman agreed to a plea in exchange for reduced charges.
  4. Friedman was suspended from his job and subsequently resigned.
  5. Moreover, a second civil suit against Friedman on behalf of two other former BHHS students was filed last December.

California law extended the statute of limitations for civil suits in such cases so that targeted underage students might get their day in court.  Let's hope when that time finally comes, justice delayed is not justice denied.
