During the painful deaths of my sister's bunnies, we found out that within the Council of Wyndham there is no after hours emergency Vet Care. From 8pm to 8am Monday to Saturday, and 5pm Sunday till 8am the next morning there is no emergency vet care within a reasonable distance. All vets are closed. We need a 24 hour emergency vet.

The closest places are Geelong, Melton & Kensignton, which are all at least a 30 - 45 minute drive away.

There is nothing worse than watching a beloved pet suffer and die painfully when you cannot ease their suffering. No animal should go through that. Not only is it traumatic for the animals but also the people who love them. 

I urge Wyndham City Council to make available an emergency service, even if is a vet nurse on call who can euthanize an animal that is suffering, or be able to ease it's pain till medical help can be supplied by a veterinary  service during normal business hours. 

As there are over 280k people within the city of Wyndham, in which the majority would own pets, it is a service that is really needed. Please help with this service.
