No bail for repeat offenders
The Issue
We, the community of Hout Bay wish to oppose the bail of the suspect mentioned in below statement. This is one more offender removed from our community and we would like to keep it that way!

SUCCESS : HOUT BAY
HOUT BAY: On Wednesday, 21st August 2019 at 02:00 members of Hout Bay SAPS saw a wanted suspect while patrolling the harbour area.
. The members approached the suspect with a backpack and when he noticed SAPS, he jumped into the water near the slipway. He eventually came out of the water without his backpack.
SAPS divers came to assist in the search and found a handgun in the ocean near to where the suspect jumped into the water. The serial number on the 9mm was filed off. 13 rounds and a magazine was also handed in as evidence. A case of firearm without a licence and possession of ammunition was opened and the suspect will be linked with other cases including, Robbery with a firearm and intimidation.
The suspect will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate court on Friday, 23rd of August 2019 on the mentioned charges.
The Station Commander, Lt Col K Masakala would like to thank all the role players that assisted in the arrest of this wanted suspect. This arrest sends out a strong message for all criminals that no one is above the law and justice will prevail. SAPS will continue in this fight against crime to bring perpetrators to book.
