This petition is to formally express our displeasure at hearing your station has chosen to part ways with Tom Marker (per Chicago media reporter Robert Feder).  Over our many years as listeners, he very much became the voice of WXRT, and by extension the voice of Chicago radio.  As loyal listeners to WXRT, we have always been sure to not just listen, but to patronize WXRT events and advertisers.  Our loyalty to your station is in no small part due to Tom Marker.

  Clearly your decision indicates that the direction that you're taking is in direct contrast to what we as listeners would hope to see as a long-time consumers of your broadcast.  We urge to you to reconsider this short-sighted decision.  This move demonstrates your lack of loyalty to an employee that has served you and us, the Chicago listeners, for well for over 3 decades.  For us Tom Marker is THE voice of Chicago radio.  If this is your stand, we will have to reconsider our loyalty to your station, events and advertisers.   Showing our Support -- Fans of Real Chicago Radio
