ALLOW GERONIMO THE ALPACA’S POST MORTEM RESULTS TO BE MADE TRANSPARENT AND PUBLIC
The Issue
Today, despite a global petition and 13 of the country’s top veterinarians writing to DEFRA to reconsider the proposed slaughter of Geronimo the Alpaca, due to concerns over the accuracy of their test results, DEFRA aided by the police, dragged a terrified and distressed animal away from his home and his owner Helen MacDonald and confirmed later, that he had In fact been euthanised. A letter was also published today, citing Covid and other reasons, as to why the results of the post mortem were not obtainable To Ms MacDonald’s legal team nor permission for a private post mortem to be granted. This petition calls upon the government departments involved, to allow those results to be made both transparent and obtainable. Geronimo was today, a victim of Government bureaucracy. We may not have been able to save him, but we can appeal for Justice for Geronimo and for his owner Helen MacDonald. Please sign and share. Thank you ❤️
