Lilian Garcia For WWE Hall Of Fame

WHY LILIAN GARCIA SHOULD BE IN THE WWE HALL OF FAME:
On August 23rd, 1999, WWE formerly known as WWF signed an incredible and inspirational Female Ring Announcer, Lilian Garcia. She didn’t know how to do this job and wasn’t allow to use cue cards, so it was not starting out so good for her. She was also replacing WWE Hall Of Famer and Former Ring Announcer, The Fink! A few weeks later, she was involved in her first angle when Jeff Jarrett applied a figure four leg lock to her. Fast forward a few months later, and her second angle happened. Lilian introduced Miss Kitty for a WWF Women's Championship pudding match, and Miss Kitty said, since she is the new women’s champion, she wanted to be called, The Kat! After the match ended, Lilian announced the winner as "Miss Kitty", which infuriated The Kat, who then threw her into the pool of pudding.
The day of February 14, 2000, Lilian Garcia sang in the WWF for the first time at a house show, and she began singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at television tapings later that month. Following the September 11 attacks, Lilian sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" on the September 13, 2001, episode of SmackDown! On that day, fans finally connected with her and she won the hearts and respect of the fans, receiving a standing ovation. The Lilian Garcia / Howard Finkel feud began in 2002. This feud went on for a little while, after Howard left her to be attacked by 3-Minute Warning, then leading up to an "evening gown versus tuxedo match" that she won with the help of Stacy Keibler and WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus.
On the Memorial Day episode of Raw on May 26, 2003, Lilian was singing "America the Beautiful" and was rudely interrupted by La Résistance, which pissed Stone Cold Steve Austin off. He cleared house and delivered a Stunner and then he called Lilian back into the ring to sing America the Beautiful with him. The two celebrated with a beer bash.
An on-screen romance began for Lilian and former WWE Superstar, the late great, Viscera. During this angle we saw Lilian propose to him, and wanted to marry him during the Vengeance PPV. The angle ended at Vengeance on June, 26, 2005, when Viscera rejected her in favor of The Godfather's Hos. Eleven months later, the angle briefly returned when Viscera proposed to Lilian. June 5, 2006, she suffered a sprained wrist when wrestler Charlie Haas knocked her of the ring apron. One week later, the accident was turned into a storyline, where Charlie asked Lilian to forgive him, which she did, but Viscera did not and took Haas out! The storyline ended on the July 10, 2006, episode of Raw; when Viscera accidentally Samoan dropped her while confronting Haas. She was removed from television for several weeks.
The Lilian / Jillian Feud: On the August 6, 2007, Lilian announced her new album entitled "Quiero Vivir". Which Jillian said no one wants to hear Lilian sing. Jillian claimed to be a better singer than Lilian, The next week; she competed in WWE Idol, in which Lilian sang "New York, New York" by Frank Sinatra.
Lilian made first appearance on WWE Superstars April 23, 2009. During the last week of August 2009, she celebrated ten years with WWE, becoming the first and only "Decade Diva". On the September 21, 2009, was her final night with WWE. She then made an emotional speech in the ring that she would be leaving WWE. She made a special appearance before RAW on November 16, 2009, singing The National Anthem. She then filled in for ring announcer Justin Roberts on April 19, 2010, due to being stranded in Europe with other WWE Superstars and crew as a result of a volcanic eruption. Her appearance caused a surge in online searches, resulting in the term "Lilian Garcia" becoming the eighth most searched-for term on Google. On December 5, 2011, Lilian announced that she would be returning to ring announcing full-time, on SmackDown. While on Smackdown she had to encounter being insulted by Fandango over her dancing and a confrontation with Alicia Fox. She returned home to Monday Night Raw on October 20, 2014.
Although Lilian made a decision to leave the WWE on August 1, 2016, to care for a sick family member, we miss her and she will remain in our hearts forever. Later in November 2016, much to our surprise, Lilian announced that she would be hosting two podcasts: “Making Their Way To The Ring” and “Luchando Con Lilian Garcia”. She became the first female of Pro Wrestling to host their own show. With all the accomplishments that Lilian has archived, it’s well deserved that she takes her rightful spot in the WWE Hall Of Fame. Her beauty, talent, kind-hearted personality, and down to earth attitude will continue to help these future ring announcers follow in her footsteps, just as Lilian followed in the footsteps of Howard Finkel. Lilian did so much and gave a lot to the WWE. She is a legend, an inspiration to many, and a trailblazer that paved the way on the mic. So help me by spreading the word & using the hashtag #LilForHOF. “LILIAN YOU ARE A HALL OF FAMER IN OUR BOOKS” – THANK YOU!
