Hello everyone!

We are Maria and Tiana, and we have put together the petition below as part of our social action project on parking affordability at Parramatta South :)

We, the undersigned students of Western Sydney University, call on the University to temporarily reduce the daily parking rate at Parramatta South from $12.50 to $9.50, aligning it with the rates at all other WSU campuses.

Parramatta South is the only WSU campus without yellow parking bays. As a result, students here cannot access the $94 annual permit available at every other campus and are limited to either the $349 Blue permit or the $12.50 daily rate. For students who have no choice but to drive to campus, this increases costs amid the current cost-of-living crisis.

Signing this petition is entirely voluntary. If you support a temporary reduction in the daily parking rate at Parramatta South, please add your name below. We will respectfully present the results to the Executive Director, Campus Operations, and the Student Representative Council as evidence of student support for this change, and nothing more.

We will collect signatures until 7 October 2026.
