I am writing to you today in regards to the reformation and hopeful release of my father, Corey Johnson. He has been incarcerated in the Alabama Prison System for a little over 26 years now and has made astounding progress in turning his life around for the better. During his time of served justice, he has accomplished many achievements attesting to the growth he’s made including, but not limited to: Barbering Trade, Re-entry Class, 9 Self Help Classes, Positive Work Reports, 10 1/2 Year Clear Record (No Citations or Disciplinaries), he’s worked at Talladega College for 5 years and 4 months (With no problems or bad reports), received multiple letters of recommendation from faculty, his boss, and a vice president from the college (which they vowed to let him keep his job, upon release), and has currently been in the institutional canteen/store since June 1st, 2023. He also attends church services on a regular and consistent basis. He's trying to grow spiritually, and be the best man and father that he’s proved he can be, and given the opportunity, an upstanding citizen in society! He has learned and grown from his crime, and the time he has had to reflect on his past, and the devastation that his choices and actions have caused in the lives of others, as well as himself! Please give my father a chance at a new, and changed life! We believe in our hearts, that he can prove to this board, and all others, that he can and will be a worthy and deserving candidate for parole! Thank You All, and God Bless!
