My brother, Corey Ferguson Jr., was charged with 2nd degree murder with a firearm. His charge holds a sentence of 25 years to life. My brother's trail was not fair due to the motion of Limine case law. In other words, this motion blocked the jury from learning that someone else confessed to committing th is crime. This individual confessed to first degree murder, yet Corey was still forced to stand trial for a crime that he did not commit. This motion also  blocked the jury from viewing body cam evidence which showed that someome else, NOT Corey, had confessed to this heinous crime.  This individual has pleaded guilty and is currentoy serving a 15 year sentence for the murder. 

The Limine motion also blocked the police officer on site from testifying about the confession. Prosecutors blocked everything that would prove Corey's innocence. This blatant attempt to withhold evidence from the jury was an injustice to Corey.  

Judge Roche, who preceeded over the trial, knew nothing about the case as our initial judge was changed just 2 short weeks before trial. During the trial, there were several members of the jury who were visibly asleep on the 2nd day of testimony. For these many reasons, I’m demanding a retrial for my brother, who is innocent of these charges. I’m asking everyone to sign this petition to remove the motion of Limine. I would like to file the Brady motion. We need a retrial, so another innocent man does not spend time behind bars for a crime that he did not commit.  My brother is a great man. Prior to this, he had NO felony charges. Corey is a college graduate who holds a Bachelors of Science degree.  He’s a role model and most importantly, he's an outstanding father. What they did to my brother should be illegal. It is not fair to block evidence from the jury, which will clearly prove my brother's innocence. I'm asking that everyone stand with me and sign this petition, so that Corey can get a FAIR trial. I will not stop fighting. While we sympathize with the victim of this crime, Corey is not guilty. We cannot sit back and watch an innocent man serve time for a crime that he DID NOT commit. Th evidence in this case clearly proves his innocence beyond a reasonable doubt, but the jury was unable to hear these facts due to the Limine motion.
