Anthony Allen, a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, caretaker, and skilled engineer who enjoyed playing lead guitar for his church, was tragically killed by a wrong-way driver on his way to worship service on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at 7:22 AM, on the 610 South Loop at S. Wayside. Anthony’s life was cut short, but his story must inspire action to prevent future tragedies. We are calling on policymakers and transportation authorities to implement proven safety measures—such as spikes at exit ramps, advanced wrong-way detection systems, infrared sensors, and electronic alert signs—that can stop wrong-way drivers before they cause harm.
