Many local Veterinary surgeries are now controlled by Big Companies who are mainly more interested in the money than the welfare of our animals . They do not offer after hours care forcing people to take their beloved pets to companies like Vets Now . Who are very good emergency vets but at a high cost . Which also means travelling to the nearest one available, sometimes too late for a successful outcome . 
People on low incomes ,Pensioners, and private animal rescuers are in a difficult situation and many animals go without proper treatment because their owners are terrified of the bills . Average costs for an appointment say for a bite or cut with antibiotics and painkiller is around £70 at the local vet . Some Vets will ascertain whether you have large funds before they treat the animal or suggest euthanasia when it is not necessary.  
Sign the Petition to demand a better service , weekend and overnight care at your local vets and reduced fees for people with low incomes and time to pay . IT IS THE ANIMALS WHO SUFFER IN SILENCE . PLEASE SIGN TO HELP MAKE GOVERNMENT AND THE VETERINARY ASSOCIATION    ACT TO PROVIDE A MORE HUMANE AND AFFORDABLE SERVICE . 
The PDSA do help but do not have Surgeries in most areas also only people on housing benefits and living within a small surrounding area qualify. There are more people ,caring animal loving people who are on low incomes who need this change .
