Tom Souder is a school dean, and basketball coach in Worthington Kilbourne High School. As a dean, he is responsible for keeping students safe, and making sure they don't put anyone else in danger. His job is to keep his students healthy, and to make sure people within the school environment have a comfortable place to learn. Tom Souder has not completed these tasks, and has done an awful job as a dean. Earlier this month, a student was unsafe, and Souder ignored the request for help. The case started on a school bus, when one student started harassing, and making fun of another student named Santiago “Santi” Pinzon. The student started the issue, and would confront Santi out of the blue. He would make rude jokes about him, and his mother. He would constantly laugh, push, and throw hard objects at him on the bus. He beat Santi up for no reason, and attacked him. Souder came outside to address the situation, then when the other student got escorted out of the scene by a teacher, Souder was alone with Santi, and took advantage of this. The dean mocked him, and talked to him rudely, he later did the same with his mother. Santi considered calling the police on the individual who harmed him, but Souder shouted out “NO!” Santi called him mother, who was the only available adult that he trusted. Souder illegally filed an emergency ban form against Santi, and threatened to suspend both students. Santi never got suspended, but no one should ever be suspended for getting bullied. Dean Souder watched the bus recordings, and knew that the individual had thrown a hard object at Santi, and that he had made physical, and aggressive contact when Santi told him to stop. Souder chose to not discipline the individual,  and the situation escalated. The individual kept harassing Santi, and threatening to beat him up, he even abetted his overage girlfriend to hit Santi. This was reported to Souder by Santi’s father, the bus driver Adam Demons, and the Worthington School director of transportation. Souder ignored them all,  and purposely did nothing about it, what a jerk! This is abuse, harassment, bullying, and should not occur ever. If it does, it should definitely never be ignored, especially by an adult. To this day, Santi is not a student at WKHS anymore. He should no longer serve as a dean, or a coach, for the irresponsible administrator he has proven to be. He is dishonest, unpleasant, rude,  a manipulator, an abetter, and a bully. Tom Souder should at least be asked to resign, or be removed in any other possible form. This petition will be transferred over to the district administrators of Worthington Schools, so they can address this issue.
