I'm a Worthing resident living near Homefield Park.  Over the year few years we have had a number of incidents of antisocial behaviour and criminal incidents around and inside Homefield Park.

I personally have witnessed regular drug deals, drug-taking, aggressive behaviour and widescale anti-social behaviour with large groups of young people from inside and around the park.  Many of the more serious incidents have been featured in local newspapers.  These incidents include, most recently an 11-year old young boy was assault, this comes 2 weeks after 3 boys were physically and verbally assaulted by a group of up to 15 youths. 

The layout of the park makes it easy to observe any police officers entering and lines of sight to the entrances giving potential suspects the chance to avoid the officers via one of the other exits.

Having a CCTV camera strategically placed to give a full 360 view of the main areas would deter future incidents and reduce illegal activity in the area.  Just the presence of the camera would deter anti-social behaviour and drug-taking around the skate park.
