We the undersigned, recognise the very significant heritage value of the Worthing Lido and its potential as a seafront asset, both for Worthing residents and for visitors to the town. We don’t consider that the Lido is currently being used to its full potential.

We call on Worthing Borough Council, working in close partnership with the community, to agree a strategy for ensuring the architectural and historical value of the Lido is protected, and its value as a community asset is maximised.

In particular, the future use of the Lido should be reconsidered, with its previous uses as a sea-water lido and a live performance venue being high on the list of options for public consultation.
