The decimation of the African elephant population for ivory, rhino for its horn, tigers for body parts and sharks for their fins is on an industrial scale, along with the harvesting of krill in the Antarctic for fuelling power stations, is a market driven by Chinese consumption. There will be none of these creatures left soon and the consumers of the world who buy Chinese products have the power to halt this trade. As signatories of this petition we call on the Chinese government to take steps to halt it or face consumers boycotting their goods, and the World Wildlife Fund and governments worldwide to support us
