15,000 sailors from around the World have already added their support/concern. Many agreeing gender equality is important, many hugely supportive of the traditional Classes. There is support for kitesurfing in the Olympics, but alongside surfing and windsurfing (similar to the Pro-Tour) as a new freestyle event not associated with Sailing - similar to the Winter Olympics and it’s newer events. That’s tough on the windsurfing community as is, but maybe it offers an upgrade for windsurfing? It’s a tough set of decisions ahead. Has WS fully understood what the Olympic Association want from Sailing? Is it worth asking for further clarification before drastic decisions are made? None of this is easy, but one thing is for certain; 15,000 people want WS to take real care over their next decisions.
