Iran’s parliament is going to pass a law which bans people from taking their dogs to the public places and even for walking in the streets. It should be noticed that the government have not considered any places for dogs. This law will imprison many dogs in houses and apartments. Especially in urban area and metropolises which have lower living space per person as well as less suitable non-public area for dogs. During recent days, Iranian police have arrested many people because of taking their dogs to the parks and the streets. The dogs are taken from pet parents and are kept in the shelters with poor standards. Dogs will stay in these shelters during the judicial process including paying penalties and judicial commitment which last several weeks. Therefore, we are going to ask the animal protection organizations to take an action and support this social movement against prohibition of dog’s presence in public.
