Dear friend:
I just returned home safely from China, where I had the joy of visiting the Spay and Neuter Training Center and witnessing firsthand the incredible progress your support has made possible.
Winters in the Northern China can be quite harsh, so our goal is to help with as many spay and neuter events as possible before the cold weather arrives. During this most recent event, the dedicated veterinary team performed 102 spay and neuter surgeries in only two days!
Beyond surgeries, the Center is already fulfilling another critical mission: training local activists to create long-term change.
In the last session, safe trap-release methods were taught to help manage stray populations humanely. During this session, training was expanded to include basic animal care and grooming skills, empowering community members to care for animals with knowledge and compassion.
The first-of-its-kind Spay and Neuter Training Center is laying the foundation to reduce the number of stray animals who might otherwise fall victim to the cruel dog and cat meat trade.
Together, we can complete Phase 2 of the Center before the end of the year and create a lasting foundation of compassion in China.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Andrea Gung
