The horrible Yulin Dog Meat “Festival” is now over, and we know that, like us, all of our animal-loving friends are heartbroken. Even though the dog and cat meat trade are daily realities in Yulin, the "festival" is the epicenter of the brutal trade, and it brings enormous pain to all of our hearts.

We would like to share some good news with you so you can draw comfort from it. The Yulin government put on two big events at the same time as the "festival" to compete and take away attention from the "festival". Click here to read about the two events.

We also received positive reports from our Yulin team about this year's “festival.” They say attendance is way down this year. They saw no new pop-up dog meat stands, and some of the old-timers didn't show up this year. The streets are much less crowded.  

While the recent slowdown of China's economy might be one factor (remember, dog meat is a delicacy), we know we are witnessing the fruits of our 11 years of hard work in Yulin! 

We must continue working to end the brutal Yulin Dog Meat “Festival” and the cruel dog and cat meat trade that surrounds it.
