Two years ago, in response to 100,000 signatures on this petition, Coles and Woolworths made statements proclaiming that reducing plastic was on their agenda.
We started the petition again because two years later, their shelves are still filled with small portions of fruit and vegetables and herbs - wrapped in plastic.
In just a few months, another 100,000+ people have joined this petition. That's 200,000+ people who do not want their fresh fruit and vegies wrapped in plastic.
We will be delivering the petition to Coles and Woolworths again this month, to coincide with Plastic Free July. This time however, we are taking a more creative approach - we think all those names deserve a big fat fanfare.
We will let you know when and where, so you can support us on the ground and on social media, and ensure that your voices are heard - loud and clear!
Thank you everyone!
