I URGE the big supermarkets (and any other retailer) to put brakes on their shopping trolleys with baby seats. On Thursday morning my seemly stationary trolley rolled off the curb with my 10mth old daughter in the seat who fell out into the gutter underneath the bumper of the car parked next to me. Had I not just unfastened the belt to put her in the car she would have also been trapped in it. Fortunately she came out of it with only a nasty bruise to her head but it could have been a lot worse. By law, all strollers and buggys have brakes, even luggage trolleys have them, so should trolleys designed for children and babies to sit. It's a major safety hazard!
