Dear supporters, Thank you for taking action and backing the preservation of Gaden House. There is one day before the advertising period ends, meaning written submissions to council should be made before close of business tomorrow, Wednesday January 10th. There is a strange synergy for me as this date is also the 2nd anniversary of David Bowie's death, a reminder for me of the value of lasting art and its power to enrich our lives... If you have time, we urge you to write a short message to the council [ records@woollahra.nsw.gov.au ] stating your support for the preservation and restoration of Gaden House. You don't need to study the DA and oppose it specifically if you are time poor but a short message indicating any or all of the following would help enormously: 1. Neville Gruzman is a significant architect within Sydney's built history whose buildings should be protected. 2. Gaden House is an exemplary commercial building of its era with many unique and notable details worth saving. 3. Sydney has lost much of its 'mid century' heritage due to lack of appreciation in the past. Gaden House is a representative building of this period and worthy of preservation.
