‼️ Woodvale Development - Say NO Today ‼️

The issue

Woodvale Village is under threat of Development ⏰ Have your say by 18th March: This month.

Developer wants to make millions $$ out of driving Forest Lake WILDLIFE away and building 122 townhouses on 5 lots.

With mass development it leaves no space for families to ride their bikes, walk their dogs or push a wheelchair and will cause enormous loss of green areas and native animal habitat.

The development will leave native animals that call Woodvale Village home with nowhere to go.

  • 🦜 BIRD LIFE: Rainbow lorikeets, Kookaburras, Blue Face Honey Eaters.
  • 🦎 REPTILE HABITAT: Water Dragons, Frill-necked Lizards, Skinks, Legless Lizards
  • 🐨 MARSUPIALS: Possums, Sugar Gliders, Bandicoots

These are just some of the native animals under immediate threat by developers and government who turn a blind eye to their suffering.

Bulldozers and chainsaws destined to remove trees and clear habitats will cause thousands of native marsupials, birds, reptiles and insects to be injured or killed.

Almost 1,000 new and old growth trees including native species are marked to be destroyed. Once they are gone they are gone forever.

  • 🍃 KOALA HABITAT - EUCALYPTUS trees in danger. Developers have an exemption to cut down over 20-year-old koala habitat trees.
  • Native and non-native trees which house hundreds of native animals are planned to be destroyed.
  • The creek corridor will be under threat from over-population in one area.

SAY NO! HELP US KEEP WOODVALE VILLAGE an UNDEVELOPED AREA FOR ALL TO ENJOY

  • Learner drivers practice in the area, people walk their dogs, families ride their bikes.

This unique area needs to be preserved for both wildlife and the greater community. If you oppose this insensitive development of our green neighbourhood please sign this petition. Power in numbers can affect change or stop greedy development.

We are not against development but they must meet community standards, ensure old growth trees and koala habitat are left untouched and have useful, not token green spaces for wildlife to live and locals to enjoy.

Woodvale Village is asking for signatures. If you DO NOT support the destruction of part of Woodvale Village, PLEASE sign this petition.

👉 ALL VOICES COUNT!

This petition for the State Facilitated Development, State Government and Local Council allows voices against this insensitive development to be heard, if this starts it won’t stop. All of Forest Lake will be ripe for the picking to greedy developers looking to destroy the FOREST in Forest Lake.

Thank you for your support! Saying no to this development is beneficial for not only Woodvale Village but the entire Forest Lake community.

To further ensure your voice is heard you can make a submission to The Chief Executive of Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning at the details below:
