Update Following the Civic Campus Open House Hosted by Developer

Last week there was an civic campus project open house held at the Woodinville City Hall. There was a small but decent turnout. It was a showcase style format for people to ask questions directly to the developers team. I was there for about an hour and spoke with several of the team members. The takeaway for me is that the Developer is very clear on the vision: create a wine themed mixed use campus that will have very good views of Mount Rainier, Sammamish River, etc., for high end apartments with multi-station food court in the Woodinville School house. The school roof will be a rooftop bar. The Developer will rent the food stations and retain ownership of the establishment's bar. The project continues to include a long term lease to the YMCA for a membership based recreation center and daycare. The Developer's team members are focused to creating good amenities for the new residents living on the 270+ apartment complex campus. The Developer team does not know how the City of Woodinville intends to handle the increased traffic or parking needs of the existing (and new) Woodinville residents. I was told in so many words that is the City of Woodinville's responsibility, not the Developer's responsibility. The developer is a wholly owned subsidiary of an international company.
