Pump tracks are a worldwide success and increasingly becoming an amenity staple in UK towns and cities. They provide a playground for kids and adults alike, from beginner’s to professionals a pump track provides a community with a sustainable and fun packed activity for all.

Why should Brookwood have a pump track? 
Brookwood has got a huge and thriving cycling community that enjoys all aspects of bike riding, from mountain biking to road cycling. A pump track would be a huge asset to Brookwood’s riding scene and the cyclists within it. As well as an asset for local people, it's a great reason for people to travel to the area. Pump Track's are ideal for all ages and for skills progression as well as year round, whatever the weather fun. 

So what is a pump track?
A pump track is designed for all things on wheels. From mountain bikes to bmx’s to scooters and skateboards, a pump track is a playground for all wheels. By combining rolling jumps with turns they are accessible for all. Teaching the basic skills of carrying momentum, balance and speed by using your arms and legs to pump your bike/board/scooter around the track. As you get better the tracks are designed to provide more challenges for you with no changes to the construction. A feature that a 5-year-old can roll through can be used as a gap jump for a professional.

Where/How/Who? 
Currently the ball has only just begun rolling, so the reason for this petition is to gauge interest for a track to be built in Brookwood. To date, the proposed area for the pump track's location will be on the fields by the new Brookwood Farm Estate. Specifically located next to the playground.

The plan would be to have some of the best, most experienced pump track builders in the UK work on the trail. At this point, quotes and ideas are being pitched by Velosolutions, Clark and Kent and TrailCraft
