Recently it was announced WNWV 107.3 The Wave in Cleveland would switch from the Smooth Jazz format to Country. For many years artists and listeners have come to recognize and enjoy Smooth Jazz on The Wave. They have looked to this Billboard reporting station as the main source for the format throughout Northeast Ohio, as well as globally on internet radio. The Wave is now one of the few prominent Smooth Jazz stations in the country.

The Wave's industry-wide reputation for being a powerhouse in recognizing Smooth Jazz hits has positioned the station to set the tone for other Billboard reporting Smooth Jazz stations that often begin spinning songs once The Wave has begun playing them.

WNWV has helped jump start the careers of many Smooth Jazz artists by introducing their music to the Cleveland market and beyond.

There are approximately 14 Country stations in Ohio, including WGAR 99.5 in Cleveland. That would put at least two Country format stations in Cleveland and not one that plays Smooth Jazz.

We Want "THE WAVE" in Cleveland. We NEED it to stay the way it is. Please let artists and listeners know what we can do to help keep Smooth Jazz on the air in Northeast Ohio.  It really matters. The Wave matters.
