There is an unnecessary amount of packaging used in some Magic the Gathering products. The Commander preconstructed decks are the most glaring offenders on this front. This product line could easily fit into something roughly the size of the Double Masters VIP boosters. In a time where we need to be making every effort possible to protect the environment we, the Magic the Gathering community, would like to see Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast take steps to reducing their carbon footprint.

I always feel a twinge of guilt purchasing a new Commander preconstructed deck when I see how large the packaging is for such a small product. Shrink wrapping the deck box that comes with the preconstructed decks could serve as the complete packaging for this product. This would greatly reduce both the carbon footprint and the production and shipping costs of this product line.
