There has been talk on social media that this matter has now been passed to Witney Town Council and I can confirm that I too had received this information in an email. Witney Allotment Association are now saying they are "more than happy to have quail", but they have still not retracted their original statement of "quails are a non starter as they are classed as game birds". Now I'm confused. Surely with the tenancy agreement being between Witney Allotment Association and myself and the fact that they have said no and also asked me "we ask you to refrain from putting quail onto your site until WTC (Witney Town Council) make their decision". I can't see why Witney Allotment Association, who have said no to my request, can't make this rather simple and logical decision all by themselves, as they are in affect my landlord. Also, if Witney Town Council have to make the decision then doesn't that make the Witney Allotment Association a little defunct? Come on guys, stop the buck passing. Make a decision. Allotmenteering shouldn't be this stressful ;)
