The time for a debt ceiling deal is now. Once again, our leaders are taking the debt ceiling fight to the brink. They are playing chicken with our economy and people’s livelihoods, our military and veteran benefits, and programs like Social Security. The American people have had enough!

With the June 1st deadline looming, we want our leaders to know there are consequences for their inaction and wreaking havoc on our lives. A bipartisan bill has been introduced in Congress that would withhold pay from lawmakers if the debt limit is reached or a government shutdown occurs.
