Netflix's adaptation of The Witcher was a bright spot in many people's pandemic experience. Please sign this petition to advocate for The Witcher series by Andrzej Sapkowski to be read in its entirety by Henry Cavill (aka Geralt of Rivia).

Seasons 1 and 2 of The Witcher were released December 2019 and December 2021 respectively, meaning people were able to escape to the show's setting - the Continent - twice during the global spread of Covid-19.

At the story's center is Geralt of Rivia, a stoic and highly moral character you can't help but root for. The Witcher saga is a well told story with vibrant, beloved characters. This world created by Andrzej Sapkowski easily lends itself to audiobook format, given the folklore elements woven throughout the story.

As many Witcher fans are returning to in-person work, what better way to spend a commute than to listen to a Witcher audiobook series?

Additionally, Henry Cavill would be the perfect choice for this audiobook series because he is passionate about the series and would be sure to deliver quality work. During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, Henry Cavill discussed being “effusive about being loyal to the [Witcher's] source material”.

On average, it takes 5 hours to produce one hour of completed audio for an audiobook. Assuming on average, audiobooks are 12 hours long, it would take 60 hours to record one audiobook. For Henry Cavill to record Sapkowski's full series, it would take 480 hours of production time (this is the equivalent of working a 40 hour/week job for 3 months).

While Witcher audiobooks do currently exist, an exclusive series read by Henry Cavill would benefit all involved parties due to the popularity of the Netflix show.

Audible is known for partnering with actors to create immersive, imaginative, and exciting audiobook experiences. I think it's time for an Audible original Witcher series, narrated by Geralt himself!
