We're over halfway there! I want everyone to know how grateful we are for your support. We have been fighting for this for years.

This whole things started in 2017 when we were sure Bill was having to go to a two month training. We went to court confident that the judge would see our side of things and not allow an angry ex to separate our family. We found out that, as much as he wanted to honor my husband's wishes, there was a bad precedent we would have to fight against. Bill cancelled his training in order to make sure that the family was not separated.
I couldn't get over how unfair the whole things was, and that my husband would have to give up so many opportunities simply because this woman was bent against our family. In 2018 I started a non-profit, went to the capitol in Madison, and presented this bill. The representatives and senators I talked to were just as shocked that I was there was.
The bill has faced no opposition and moved up through the Assembly. It is now sitting in the Committee of Rules, ready to be presented on the floor and voted on.
However, now as we sit here ready to fight against Iran, and sure that my husband will be called up again, we hope the bill will be passed in time.
In an attempt to settle this out of court, we asked again if his ex would honor his placement while he was gone. She refused. She stated she'd "allow" the kids to see each other when she could.
We know how that works. His ex has NEVER brought the kids to anything of their sister's, has NEVER honored my husband's custody and has been found in contempt for keeping the kids from us when she was angry or upset. We can't trust the sanctity of our family in her hands.
