Hope and Anna are very thankful to everyone that signed this petition. The girls were on the local television news, in a few newspaper articles and on a local cable station talking about the need for a mandatory helmet law. This has been a ski season filled with learning about the legislative system and an increased compassion from the girls for other kids on the ski hill. Hope and Anna have big hearts and do not want to see any kid get hurt in an accident that could've been prevented or lessened had the child been wearing a helmet. You have stood along side Hope and Anna as they tried to reach this goal. As the ski season ends, we feel at this time it will be best to close this petition and declare success in terms of increased awareness for skier safety. This isn't the last you'll hear or see from the girls on this issue. While it may be hard to get legislation passed, the girls are still hard at work to increase awareness about helmet safety and skier/snowboarder responsibility on the hill. Who knows, you might hear from Anna and Hope again this upcoming ski season. Thanks again, Chris Statz (a very proud father)
