The hearing on the Friends of the Black River Forest's legal challenges to the DNR approval of the Kohler Wetland Fill Permit and the Final DNR Environmental Impact Statement will take place the week of June 4-8 at Mead Public Library in Sheboygan, Wi. The hearing is scheduled for Monday- Friday. Times are not established but are expected to be from 9:00- 4:30. On Friday, June 8th, the public will have an opportunity to speak to the issues in the challenges. We are encouraging everyone to come forth and give testimony about the wetland permit and the Environmental Impact Study. It is important than many people attend the hearing. We need the Judge to understand the serious issues of the planned environmental degradation of a rare Lake Michigan coastal ecosystem. We believe our rights to information, healthy land, air and water have been circumvented and ignored. Please come so we can fill the room with supporters to show the judge there are many people against this project. We must all fight to stop the golf course and save the forest, wildlife, their habitat, land, air and water from destruction and pollution by Kohler.
