The Wisconsin DNR has given the Kohler Company prime Kohler Andrae State land to build 3 buildings totaling 22,500 sq. ft. for pesticide mixing, fuel storage, and equipment storage and paved parking lot for its proposed golf course. This land is prime ecologically important land purchased in 1965 with Federal Land and Water Conservation Act funds. Kohler has its own land but wants to use our park land. The land is in eye shot of the park entrance. Friends of the Black River Forest is taking the DNR to court to stop this and the massive environmental impacts of a golf course on the shore of Lake Michigan.
