This is a petition to allow all students to have the freedom to listen to their own music under the supervision of their teachers. The current rule issues a ban on earphones and headphones within the school. For several years, perhaps even since the school opened, music has always been part of the community, uniting students and staff alike and giving everyone an opportunity to express their diversity and personalities to others. Our years in school would have been much more gruelling and nerve-wracking without the tranquillity of music. Music has been proven to improve well-being in multitudinous ways, such as increasing happiness and health, strengthens learning and verbal intelligence, and can be seen reduces depression and stress significantly. We humbly ask you to think of the community of the school when reading this.
