grassroots football has long been a fantastic way for a wid range of people from young to the older generation who find a release from their everyday life, whilst also assisting in creating a haven for people who suffer with mental health issues. Now unfortunately it along with so many other things took a massive hit when covid hit and almost destroyed everything. For almost 2 years now grassroots football has not been able to return to to what it once was due to the closure of all council changing rooms until ventilation checks and surveys have been carried out on them. this has had a massive impact on the game we all love to play due to players and officials being forced to get changed at the side of the pitches. this isn't an issue if the weather is ok but we live in England and the weather is not the most reliable not any one player is happy having to get changed in the terrible conditions we are experiencing now so therfore matches are starting to get called off not due to the pitches but due to the fact there are no facility's open to use. we have had no indication or time frame as to when the ventilation checks or whatever the council needs to do to help will get done. it is increasingly frustrating that when all clubs where asked to adhere to covid rules and regulations to get back to playing the game everyone was on board and the hard work and effort put in was impeccable from everyone yet when we are asking for other departments to help out with this situation it seems to fall on deaf ears or passed from piller to post. WE WANT TO PLAY FOOTBALL PLEASE HELP US TO CONTINUE TO BE ABLE TO
