Stop the merging of Heswall, West Kirby and Upton Fire Stations West Kirby and Upton are set to be merged to a new station in Saughall Massie, on the green belt land on Saughall Massie Road. This means that the services will be less readily available to residents of West Kirby and Upton. Please reconsider merging the fire stations just to cut costs. It will destroy the abundance of wildlife , which includes Kingfishers, Herons, Mallard, Moorhens, Coot , and a variety of small Reed birds. There also Sparrow Hawks and Buzzards that come to feed here on a regular basis. If it is re sited at Saughall Massie it will cause havoc on the roads and then onto the by - pass an area that is already congested with traffic at peak times. Can you imagine the disturbance and the noise both night and day. We do not want it nor need it. Please sign to stop this from happening
