Meet Rocky - a companion for our sweet old boy, Lothar. And Boogie!

We did it again. We started a trial with a young husky (male) named Rocky a few days ago. I have to say, his name isn't very fitting. He's more of a lover than a fighter. A tiny bit skittish. But very loving and playful. And I'm almost certain things will work out with the cat - she's obviously not happy with having him around at all. But, she's not running away and isn't afraid to show him that kitty has claws. I wonder where she gets those from! Rocky is wonderful. The boys love him. They asked me last night, "Mom, are you sure no one's going to take him away?". I'll hold my tongue and keep this a happy post. My original plan was to hold off a bit on getting a second husky. But when I thought we would be keeping Boogie, I was already forming a plan in my mind to get a second one eventually. And it's uncanny how much alike they are. I know they'd make a wonderful pair (and Lothar will be relieved that he doesn't have to "hang" with a younger dog). Rocky "talks" like no husky I've ever seen. It's hilarious. He "speaks" at the cat, demanding she come out of the closet. I'll try to post some videos on our page later this week.
