Recently, due to covid19, our beloved skatepark in Winchester has been permanently shut and fenced off. This petition is to help reopen the park, as it is a safe place for people to go, especially if they’re home life is not enjoyable. This is Why it is particularly important For the park to stay open during lockdown, as not many people feel safe at home and need a Safe place to exercise. In addition to this, the children's play park about 6 feet opposite the Skatepark remains open, which i think is outrageous and ironic. Furthermore as a result of the park being shut it is affecting a lot of skaters mental health as they feel they have nowhere to go and skate, as they are already alienated from society. Hence why it it crucial for the skate park to remain open.
