Would you like to see this countryside location turned into an industrial site?
The Issue
Would you allow a site in a beautiful, rural countryside location close to you to be redeveloped for industrial use and industrial commercial storage?
If planning application 20/02655/FUL is allowed by Winchester City Council this site at Willow Farm off Hensting Lane ( nestled between Twyford, Owselbury and Fishers Pond) will be redeveloped for use for any industrial process and for industrial storage.
The residents, users of the stunning footpaths and bridleways in Hensting Lane, Owslebury, Marwell and the South Downs National Park and those who operate small local countryside businesses ( livery yards, farmers, blacksmiths, rural leisure and tourism) and many more will lose a beautiful rural amenity. They will face increased HGV traffic on Hensting Lane with noise, vibration and light pollution. This new industrial use would be overbearing and would put at risk the local businesses that depend on this rural/countryside amenity being sustained.
The solution is for Colden Common Parish Council and Winchester City Council to oppose and reject the current planning application and to stop the unauthorised uses at Willow Farm. They will take into account your views in this petition. If they were to agree to the planning application then the site will be redeveloped with turning/manoeuvring for HGV, parking and the barn will become an industrial building for any industrial process and commercial storage. We need you to sign the petition to prevent this happening.
Sign the petition to show you care and to prevent the development of an industrial site and all the associated industrial traffic, noise and pollution. Otherwise the rural countryside amenity in this beautiful location will be lost for ever.
Take 30 seconds to sign the petition to stop this NOW and to help sustain this precious and delicate rural treasure.
I object to planning application 20/02655/FUL.
Please find below a link to a photo album that will provide insight into what day to day life is like on the lane and why we wish to protect it.
