Save South Winchester and Hursley Neighbourhood Plan Group
Feb 22, 2021

A demo/ rally to respond to & inform about the proposed "Royaldown" development of 5000 houses in the countryside south of Winchester

The proposed development includes 5000 houses and solar farms on chalk downland countryside between Hursley, Oliver's Battery and Compton.

This event will share accurate information about the site of the proposed development, the planning process and provide a platform for interested parties to understand how their views can be heard by the planning officers and policy makers.

Come along to show you care about this proposal.

Sign up with Eventbrite below -your ticket and access link will be sent to you ahead of time.

Signing up also means you agree to have your email address used for further communication about our campaign by the SSWCG (Save South Winchester Campaign Group). You can unsubscribe from this list at anytime.

Speakers will be published as they confirm and include Steve Brine MP, Caroline Dibden Vice President Hampshire CPRE, Cllr Jackie Porter Winchester City Council, and Felicity Roe Director of Business and Culture at Hampshire County Council. The main point of attending is to give you an opportunity to ask questions and communicate your feelings and the sources of evidence you believe should be used to help Winchester City Council (the planning authority) make the right decision about the proposal.

Questions will be taken through the chat box function and will account for around 50% of the hour-long rally.
