The blossoming trees are lovely alongside the Holt village hall. Such a shame that as part of the plan to develop the Beaven (Tannery) site they will all be chopped down to put in a lay-by for parking cars there instead. Presumably so the developers can get their non stop flow of giant lorries down the road without multiple claims for vehicle damage as they squeeze by... anyone else think this is wrong and that the trees should stay? Why not extend the double yellow line down the length of the road, give residents a parking permit for village hall whilst works are done, remove double yellow line when finished. Cheaper option and trees can stay then! Many residents of the village comment on how nice the trees are when in flower each year. As do visitors to the Courts Gardens National Trust Property opposite. Seen lots of small birds in them too. Please sign this petition to make the developers think of another way to widen the road for access that means the trees can stay!
