Willie Washington Jr & Others ACT (body cameras)

Willie Washington Jr & Others ACT (body cameras)

The Issue

The Willie Washington Jr. And Others Body Worn Camera Act, you'll find the following common statement of basic moral values: Integrity, Respect for human life, Self-control, Honesty, Courage, and Self-sacrifice are rights and needs in this unpublicized crisis.

It is easy to criticize The Rhode Island Department Of Correctional staff for their immoral and unethical shortcomings, But the Brotherhood of Rhode Corrections spokesman often cite “k-2 or drugs” as a major case of why the department of correction staff woes, excuses, and misstatements as in the case of Willie Washington Jr. and countless other individual's who have lost their life within this system. As The Rhode Island Department Of Corrections employees frequently violate safety standards as well as Rhode Island Corrections Code of Ethics during there work shift, life experience has taught us most adults in the U.S. are not always honest or honorable as they should be.

Choices' are not always easy, and the obvious ethical solution may have personal or professional drawbacks. Because the Rhode Island Department Of Corrections allow their staff to do unethical violations, even if other staff feels they are unethical, they become normalized practice.

Ethics is caught, more than its taught... that is to say, people learn their standards and values from observing what others do, not from hearing what they say, this is true in all workplace's and facets of life.

Individuals do not usually act alone, they need the implied, if not the direct cooperation of others to behave unethically in a law enforcement environment, this is why we need everybody's support for this State legislative Bill for Body Worn Cameras in Rhode Island to be put on all Correctional staff within the Department of Corrections.
