We, the undersigned, want justice for a voiceless victim of senseless violence. Timothy Okogbaa and the rest of the country need to know that the Florida Courts WILL NOT tolerate abuse against innocent pets. In this case, only the MAXIMUM sentence of 5 years in state prison is acceptable, and no plea arrangement should even be considered. There should be no more "Puppy Doe's" because there is no deterrant! YOU have the power to send this message!
On Tuesday, May 13, 2014, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested 18-year-old Timothy Okogbaa for fatally beating his female pit bull puppy. After the arrest, Okogbaa told the authorities that he had flown into a rage after the dog bit his hand; he admitted to "patting the dog’s stomach a little too roughly."
Okogbaa stated that he slapped the dog and punched her all over her body and then choked her with her own collar until she stopped breathing - when the dog was dead he tied her up with a shoelace and stuffed her into a trash can in a room of his apartment.
