My son, Shane, was bullied at school by a few kids, teachers, and a Sheriffs department. He was also bullied on the bus. He had a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD, sensory Disorder, Anxiety Disorder and Panic Attacks. I had gone to the school, to the Special Education Director and told them what was happening. I called the Sheriffs Department and asked them to do an investigation. The Principal said that it couldn't happen. I have never heard back from the Sheriffs Department. The Special Education Director really didn't say much. I had an Advocate. Shane had an IEP and it wasn't being followed. I was in the process of getting an attorney and looking at another school. On Wednesday, November 11, 2015 my son, Shane, hung himself in my garage. My 12 year old found him. I had to remove the orange extension cord and lay him on the floor. I began CPR. On November 12, 2015 Shane died. I have created Shane's Legacy on FB and there are hundreds of stories of kids being bullied and of kids talking about suicide. I lost my sweet, precious 11 year old. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!!!! I have a plan to help stop this insanity. You MUST take notice and realize this is an epidemic.
