Over the weekend of February 23, 2014, two young Black men on Pelham Parkway in the Bronx, New York were assaulted by police. One was asked to step off of a city bus to speak to police officers about his fare. Though witnesses say the man paid his fare, police attacked him, including throwing him to the ground and kicking him. Police officers and other government officials who egregiously break laws, abuse their power, and victimize the very constituents they are supposed to protect need to be disciplined and charged with a crime as any other civilian would be.

Investigate the Bronx NYC Police Officers involved in this this brutality and take appropriate actions against these individuals. Take immediate action rectifying the practices, protocols and training that police officers take/use to police our communities. Employ new techniques and mechanisms to ensure that police officers are policing our community, New York, by their mantra: Courtesy, Professionalism, Respect. Bring the tale of two policing cities to an end NOW.
