As a group of professionals deeply embedded in the healthcare services of the Northern and Eastern Provinces Sri Lanka, we speak out against the damaging influence of newly elected MP, Dr. Ramanathan Archuna. Our friend's and colleagues experience daily, the consequences of his disinformation and misrepresentation, which disrupt our esteemed healthcare services, affecting the work of doctors, nurses, and administrative staff alike. Dr. Archuna, through his relentless pursuit of social media fame and the misleading support of his YouTuber followers, causes substantial, unnecessary turmoil.

His ego-driven actions and false propaganda have severely disrupted the smooth running of our health services, resulting in postponed treatments and reduced quality care for patients. This is personally distressing to us, as people at the forefront of health care in the Northern and Eastern Provinces; but it's also of profound public concern. We all want and need robust, dependable health services. Irresponsible disturbances from any quarter, let alone from an elected official, are not only counter-productive but outright harmful.

We urgently call on the government and judicial authorities to investigate the actions of Dr. Archuna and take all necessary measures to stop these disruptions, including a potential lawsuit for public disturbance and damages caused. By signing this petition, we  are pushing for the restoration of uninterrupted, responsible health services in our Provinces, free from the damaging distractions of this fame-hungry immature politician.
